About the Practitioner

Pamela R. Zentner, L.M.T.

Hello, my name is Pamela Zentner and I am a State College native who has over three decades of experience in the health & wellness field.  I have always enjoyed exercise, sports, and eating well, in addition to being focused on living a well balanced lifestyle.  As a result, I decided to make a full-time career of my passion for leading a balanced life of health and wellness.  My objective is to help educate, motivate, and share my enthusiasm with others so they can lead a balanced life of health and wellness too.  The following are some of my education, training, and experiences:

•    Certified Aerobics Instructor since 1979
•    Licensed Massage Therapist since 1992
•    Owner and Operator of Bodywork & Massage Specialists, 1992 to present
•    Certified Yoga Instructor since 1992
•    Instructor at Mt. Nittany Institute of Natural Health, 1995 -2005
•    Member of ABMP since 1992
•    Certified Pilates & Reformer Trainer
•    Graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology Occupational Therapy Assistant  Program, 2009

Over the years, I have worked at many Health and Fitness centers. For the past several years, I have been teaching yoga, Pi-lotta yoga, and Pilates for staff and faculty at PSU through the Health Matters program which provides wellness services and classes for Penn State employees and their families.  I also work with the PSU men’s and women’s basketball teams by teaching team yoga sessions during the off-season as part of their pre-season training.  During the season, I work individually with the players by providing deep tissue sports massage therapy.  In addition, I teach yoga classes for corporate wellness programs as well as administer private massage therapy sessions for clients.  Upon request, I also teach private in-home yoga sessions one-on-one or in groups which can be held at a variety of locations whether indoors or outdoors.

I have also presented workshops on the Massage & Yoga method to specific professional groups emphasizing how to best integrate some of the principles and movements from Yoga into their own unique practices such as stress management and learning how to relax. I teach training classes on learning different types of coping skills for lifestyle changes. Some of the groups include Occupational Therapists, student massage therapists, student physical trainers, patients with anxiety disorders, patients with sports injuries, and individuals with disabilities from accidents or injuries.

I attend Mind & Body conventions annually to keep current on all new developments in this growing field. Continuing education is very important to me. My goal is to educate myself and to share my knowledge with others. My passion is wellness; I live the lifestyle and teach from my heart to encourage others to live a balanced life of health and wellness.
